Kimberly Thaggard holds a BA in Political Science, an MA in History, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and a PhD in Literacy.
Kimberly’s background in politics allowed her to serve on staff with the US Senate Majority Leader before entering the teaching field in 2004. She was a classroom teacher for over 10 years, wrote curriculum as part of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network, and finished her career in public schools after five years in administration.
She has two children, a loving husband, and continues to use her voice to advocate for schools and teachers through published editorials, podcasts, and the iteach Blog.
